Description:
MS SQL - Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) needed for National Internal Business Resources firm in Willow Grove. High Transaction Team Environment to do day to day Database Administration tasks for a rapidly expanding system.
Daily Responsibilities:
Design, install, tune, maintain and monitor SQL Server databases, products and services; including, but not limited to, storage management, DB performance tuning, DB software debugging, backup and recovery, and change/configuration maintenance.
Provides technical consulting in identifying, implementing and supporting new SQL Server database function
Performs problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.
Monitor/maintain database performance and identify/recommend areas that can be improved
Ensure the security/stability of the database servers by implementing applicable patches and maintaining appropriate security measures
Develop and enforce organizational SQL standards and best practices
Implement standardization of systems implementation, support techniques, change control, best practices, and total quality practices in all activities.
Must Have Technical Skills:
5 years experience in the design, implementation and support of SQL Server 2000/2005 databases.
Strong SQL Server database performance analysis and tuning skills.
Expert in sizing, capacity planning, backup and recovery planning with solutions in SQL Server environments.
Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment
Ability to pursue a proactive approach to problem solving within a cohesive team environment
