Description:
A San Francisco based software company that specializes in project and portfolio management Software is looking to hire a Junior Java/J2EE Engineer.

This company provides the software foundation that enables all types of businesses to achieve excellence in managing their portfolios, programs, projects and resources. The company has experienced steady growth and profitability throughout its history and is privately held.

This is an immediate opportunity for a Junior-Mid level Java developer. As a member of the Development team, you will analyze requirements, create designs, and develop new features using a broad array of the latest technologies, including Java, Adobe Flex, .Net, Web Services, or OLAP.

This position is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, with a beautiful view of the Bay.

Required:
. Expertise in developing Java server applications
. Knowledge of SQL, JDBC, JSP, and Servlets
. Proficiency in HTML, DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
. Strong communication & problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities
. Related BA/BS and 2+ years programming experience in a web environment

Desired skills for this position:
. Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented paradigms, UML and design patterns.
. Experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server database,
. Expertise in BEA Weblogic
. Experience with performance tuning of large-scale web applications
. Knowledge of Flex / ActionScript
